Does waxing make your hair thinner or thicker?

I really need to know. I have waxed a area on my leg as testing. But before the hair actually grows back i pluck it. I cannot tell if they hair is actually growing back thicker. Some people say that it grows back thicker and some say thinner. Anyone who waxes, what were your results? I would like to know before i decide to wax my entire leg or do anythubg rash. There are explanations such as "damaging the hair follicle". But does anyone have proof or an example from personal experience?

it grows your hair basically like how you see it now. Waxing is a way to get rid of hair but leaves it growing the same lenght.So if you have thin hair it will stay thin if you have thick hair it will stay thick but sometimes over time it will get smaller you should wax it hurts i warn you but it's worth everything trust me i've been waxing for a while it so rocks!Go 4 it gurl Lil Tina

I used to get my legs waxed regularly %26amp; 1/4 of my calf above my ankle is pretty hair free now.

I prefer waxing because I don't get sharp stubble but have stopped for now to save money.

I have waxed both my arms and legs for the last 3 years. I t will take a while but the hair will slower get lesser and lesser %26amp; thinner and thinner. You just have to be patient.

i wax. waxing does not thicken nor thin your hair. it reduces the quantity of hair that comes back out (for a given time). if you wax, some hair may not grow back as fast as others and therefore often gives the appearance that you have reduced hair. which is good if you plan on waxing again. hair follicles can potentially get damaged, but i dont think this is a bad thing since ultimately hair removal is your goal. be sure to have moisturized and clean skin and to use something like aloe if you feel you are sensitive afterwards. overall i think it is many times better than shaving, although there is a grow back period between waxes.
