How do i fix my really badly damaged hair?

So I basically ruined my already thin hair... it's like the thinest hair in the world, seriously. all of it in a ponytail is about a 2 centimeter diameter at most .......... also, it's full of split ends from crappy con-air hair straighteners... it's really unhealthy.... and I have no idea what shampoo or conditioner to use. I tried herbal essences, I tried l'oreal, pert, etc.... but none have worked, they just make my hair... look like I don't know how to brush it. also, my hair is a whole bunch of different lengths... so help o-o;?

I have super thin hair also. You cannot get rid of split ends once you have them. It's like getting a run in your panty-hose. Once it starts, it won't stop. It helps to brush wet hair with a comb and not a brush. I've found that BedHead products work really really well for hair.

Believe it or not real Mayoneese in your hair will do wonders and keep trimming those split ends. Your hair will eventually grow back. It will take time and throw away the straighteners.

i would reccommend washing your hair in actual green tea.

it sounds silly and stupied i had thaat SAME problem.

but i did that and now my hair is SOOO thick.

do it for about 1 month, and use green tea conditioner from an organic store its about 10-15 dollars.

I'm so sorry. i had a nightmare like that a while ago. i had to go to the salon and have them do deep conditioning treatment. i bought REDKEN DEEP FUEL. it is a leave-in protein and lipid treatment for your hair. it's about $18 for 3. if you have the money to spend, go to a good salon and have them work on your hair and give you ideas of how to straighten it or whatever. hope it works out for you!!

Pantene is the one thing that keeps my hair healthy, just make sure you get the right formula for your hair type, since there are many.

First you have to cut off all of those nasty split ends. This is why getting regular trims is very important. It helps promote healthy hair growth.

Next, try and take as much heat out of your morning routine as possible.

Then we get into the products. Try Dove or Biolage shampoos and conditioners. Try to shampoo every other day (but use conditioner everyday), so you wont dry out your hair anymore than it is now.

Do a hot oil treatment or deep conditioner (or both) on your hair at least once a week. Dove has this new conditioner out that's a deep conditioner you can use anytime you take a shower. Its in a black bottle and has the words "Deep Therapy" on it.

You could also ask around at your nearest hair store.

I think the expression "less is more" is appropriate here. Stop using the flat iron for a while. If you do use one, make sure it is a ceramic one; it's not as bad on your hair. You need to invest to some good shampoo and conditioner. Go to a salon. See if they carry Schwarzkopf, Aveda, or PhytoOrganics products. Any of these brands are great and have awesome conditioning treatments that it sounds like your hair needs. Also, let your hair air dry mostly before you blow dry it. Use a comb instead of a brush. And unless you just have really oily hair, try not to wash it every day. The natural oil in your scalp is good to help with the dryness you seem to be having. Hope these are the fixes you were looking for! Good Luck!
