Why do skinny people have more hair?

i just heard this somewhere that skinny people have more hair on their body. i am pretty skinny and i have alot of hair on my body but really really thin hair on my head. i dont get it.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

It's called lanugo hair.It grows on the body in order to insulate the skin because of lack of fat.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

Skinny people need the hair for insulation from the cold. Where as fat people have the fat.

Ofcourse i've been accused of being full of sh*t before.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

I dont believe this is factual. Hair growth is mostly caused by moisture (like sweating and heat). That and genetics, but not genetics relative to weight.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

hmm, well im skinny and i have moderately thick hair on my head, and a normal amount everywhere else.

ive never heard of skinny ppl having less head hair and more everywhere else....

but i hear that

anorexic ppl grow a light downy hair all over their body because they have no fat to keep them warm, so their body grows hair to compensate.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

That's true...Hair will grow on your body for extra protection from the cold. I believe it's more for people who are too skinny though (eating disorders). Not your average skinny person.

Why do skinny people have more hair?

nothing to do with it
