How do i get my hair to be straight and have volume?

ok i have thin hair and its curly. I try to straighten it but then it gets really flat after about an hour. But i cant use volumizing spray or anything because my hair is weird and it gets dirty right away and curls back up. And the volume shampoo isn't working much. And if i got my hair permanently straightened, would my hair be ruined? Any suggestions????!!!!

instead try getting creams that you put in your hair after you shower when your hair is damp that are meant to be used with flat irons

you can blow dry your hair with a brush (flip your head upside down if you want super volume)

at first it's going to look like you're hair extra puffy and frizzy almost but the flat iron takes away volume from your hair by loaddds so you want to start with more volume than you want

try the loreal heat activated cream

they come in pink bottles and they smell ahh-mazinggg

i forgot what they were called but they have them at duane reade / cvs or whatever ur "local drugstore" is lol

Your hair wouldnt be ruined if you go your hair straightened. It would just make it straight forever. I know some people who tease the hair to give it volume, but you have to try wearing different styles, because all styles doesnt look right on certain people.

Hair gets ruined when you blowdry, straighten, highlight, anything. It's not that big of a deal because you can always use a shampoo to fix the damage later on. I don't think getting it permanently straightened would be a bad idea, but I wouldn't know cause I have straight hair. You should talk to a good stylist about getting it straightened. What I would do is use volumizing shampoo .. the herbal essense is good. And then straighten.

You could sleep on it like that (or in the morning) then when it's dry straighten your hair, making it straight, yet keeping it all fluffed up at the top! Good luck :) x

Well, I personally have wavy, thick hair...but my mom has thin and curly hair and it works for her too. I use straight, sexy hair (they also have big sexy hair) but anyways, it works really good for me and my mom both. You just take a little bit of your hair at a time, spray it, and then use a real hot straightening iron and it stays and gives it volume! hope this helps ya! :D

If you shower THEN straighten then you'll have to blow dry your hair and brush it going out wards while blowing drying it. If you shower the night before then again, blow your hair outwards and don't brush it...leave it messy looking and go to bed like that. In the morning when you straighten your hair don't straight downwards, curl the straightener out a little. This all works for my hair, sorry if none of this made sense.

The other way if you just want to temporarily straighten your hair is to use a large barrel round brush and a blow dryer.
